Parade budaya pada kegiatan Asia Africa Festival di Kota Bandung, Jawa Barat, Sabtu (5/9/2025). ANTARA/Rubby Jovan.

Kota Bandung (ANTARA) – Pemerintah Kota Bandung, Jawa Barat menunda gelaran Asia Africa Festival (AAF) 2025 yang semula dijadwalkan berlangsung pada 5–7 September 2025.

Kepala Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Kota Bandung Adi Junjunan mengatakan penundaan dilakukan untuk meningkatkan sinkronisasi, kolaborasi, dan sinergitas penyelenggaraan festival tahunan tersebut.

“Dengan mempertimbangkan situasi dan kondisi, ini bagian dari upaya kami agar Asia Africa Festival 2025 dapat terselenggara dengan lebih baik, terintegrasi, dan memberi manfaat maksimal bagi masyarakat maupun tamu mancanegara,” kata dia di Bandung, Rabu.

Ia menyebut sejumlah agenda yang terdampak unjuk rasa belum lama ini, antara lain Asia Africa Carnaval, Asia Africa Corner, dan simposium.

Ia menyampaikan permohonan maaf atas ketidaknyamanan yang timbul akibat penundaan itu.

Ia berharap, masyarakat tetap mendukung penyelenggaraan AAF 2025.

“Kami berharap warga Bandung tetap antusias dan bersabar menunggu jadwal baru. Insyaallah, AAF 2025 akan hadir dengan kualitas lebih baik,” ujarnya.

Festival Asia Afrika merupakan agenda rutin selalu dinantikan warga karena menjadi salah satu magnet pariwisata Kota Bandung sekaligus memperkuat citra kota sebagai tempat bersejarah, Konferensi Asia Afrika 1955.

AAF juga dikenal sebagai ruang kolaborasi budaya lintas negara, menghadirkan parade seni, pertunjukan, hingga forum diskusi yang mempertemukan komunitas, akademisi, dan masyarakat internasional.

Meski tertunda, Adi berharap masyarakat tetap memberikan dukungan agar penyelenggaraan mendatang dapat berlangsung lebih baik, terintegrasi, dan memberikan dampak positif bagi kota serta para pengunjung.
